Ah, Steven Soderbergh, the Hollywood director who keeps threatening to retire… and then goes on to make another movie. I’m not sure if there is anyone else churning out more movies at such a high quality than this guy. Since the year 2000, Soderbergh has directed no less than 20 features. That’s crazy! We’ve had the likes of CONTAGION and MAGIC MIKE in the last twelve months alone , and in the coming 12 months we’re promised a Liberace biopic called BEHIND THE CANDELABRA and this flick, SIDE EFFECTS which today, courtesy of Collider, has had a whole bunch of still released from it.
Here’s the official synopsis:
SIDE EFFECTS is a provocative thriller about Emily and Martin (Rooney Mara and Channing Tatum), a successful New York couple whose world unravels when a new drug prescribed by Emily’s psychiatrist (Jude Law) – intended to treat anxiety – has unexpected side effects.
Soderbergh regular Catherine Zeta-Jones is also in it.
The film is not out until the 13th March 2013 in the UK, but US audiences get it on February 8th, 2013.
