RED director Robert Schwentke is at the helm for this ‘buddy’ action comedy based on the Dark Horse graphic novel series R.I.P.D. (Rest In Piece Department) by Peter M. Lenkov. The plot is centred on a supernatural police force who investigate the cases in the world they have now left behind. Ryan Reynolds takes the lead role of a recently murdered cop who crosses to the ‘other-side’ and joins the team of undead police officers, including Jeff Bridges’ old west-styled Sheriff Roy Pulsipher, in solving his own crime.

Kevin Bacon, Mary-Louise Parker, Stephanie Szostak, Marisa Miller, Mike O’Malley, James Hong and Robert Knepper co-star in the film due in cinemas next summer and here we have a number of set stills (which we believe are from re-shoots) featuring the likes of Reynolds, Bridges and Parker.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
