Tobe Hooper’s career may not have had the highs after his first film as other directors in the horror genre, but THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE certainly made a lasting impression and is still considered a masterpiece of shock. After his own awful follow-up starring Dennis Hopper and further sequels, reboots and remakes, none came close to that gritty, controversial classic that saw the lunatic Leatherface and family first tear-up the screen.
The 4th January 2013 brings a direct sequel (the first since 1986), to the intense original which sees a long distant relative of the Sawyer’s travel to Texas to claim what she understands to be the familiar empty abode and abattoir, that once housed the human butcher and his cannibalistic clan. Naturally, a buzz heard in the distance isn’t too far away…
Here we have a number of viral images from John Luessonhop’s TEXAS CHAINSAW 3D, which confirms the plot will indeed have links to Hooper notorious feature.
TEXAS CHAINSAW 3D stars Alexandra Daddario, Tania Raymonde, Scott Eastwood, Dan Yeager and some-sounding awful hip-hop star I’ve thankfully never heard of named Trey Songz, Christ!, Pray He’s Gonz more like. Fingers crossed he’s finished off first.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
