Writer and director Barry Battles makes his feature-length directorial debut with exploitation action/comedy THE BAYTOWN OUTLAWS. He’s been lucky enough to bag the ever-awesome Billy Bob Thornton and Eva Longoria amongst a host of familiar faces in Michael Rappaport (TRUE ROMANCE), Natalie Martinez (END OF WATCH), Agnes Bruckner (THE PACT), Brea Grant (HEROES), Zoe Bell (DEATH PROOF) and Andre Braugher (THE MIST).
We have the latest poster, as well the previous designs (previously titled THE BAYTOWN DISCO) and trailer for those that may have missed them, the outrageous plot follows:
After her ex-husband Carlos shoots Celeste three times in the gut, it’s time to play dirty. In the fight for her godson, Rob, she hires three outlawed and redneck brothers to bring him back to her. But nothing can be that simple in the South. What begins as a small rescue mission rises to a southern battle royal. This odd team must shoot their way through gorgeous female assassins, Native American hunters, Federal agents, and a whole lot of metal coming after them, while protecting Celeste’s innocent child.
THE BAYTOWN OUTLAWS is released in the US via VOD on December 4th and to cinemas on January 18th 2013. We here in the UK will be able to rent or buy on DVD & Blu-ray from 26th December.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
