Here’s the first trailer for inspirational drama ANY DAY NOW starring Alan Cumming and Garrett Dillahunt. The film sees a gay couple attempt to adopt a boy with Down Syndrome, after he is abandoned by his junkie mother. Set in Hollywood in the late 1970s, this could easily fall into the schmaltzy, sickly category, but judging on Cumming and Dillahunt’s performances in the trailer, they should be able to keep it powerful without being manipulative.
ANY DAY NOW has a limited release in the US on 14th December. It stars Alan Cumming, Garrett Dillahunt, Isaac Leyva, Frances Fisher, and Gregg Henry.
