As screenings go, you would be hard pressed to find something as prestigious as at the White House. In front of the president of the United States. Showing a movie about perhaps one of the most influential men in American politics, namely Abraham Lincoln. But that’s what will be happening this evening across the pond.
The most important man in the western world will be there to see LINCOLN – and Spielberg will be joined by Barack Obama as well. Other members of the cast and crew, including Lincoln himself Daniel Day-Lewis and the director’s old friend and colleague Kathleen Kennedy, will also be guests at the screening. THN has unconfirmed reports that Sally Field will be bringing nibbles while Tommy Lee Jones will be singing Ava Maria as part of the post-film entertainment.
Ah, to be a fly on the wall for that gathering!
