UK Top Ten Box-Office Report: Skyfall Continues To Dominate

The official UK top ten movies have been released for the weekend of 9th-11th November and SKYFALL continues to blow the competition away. It has now been released in the US where it hit the top spot with the best part of $90 million in the bank after just three days. Amazing. In the UK alone it has taken over £72 million… in about 17 days. Astonishing.

The 23rd Bond adventure is easily this week’s number one movie with £10.4 extra in the bank from Friday to Sunday, closely, well not closely, but indeed followed by MADAGASCAR 3: EUROPE’S MOST WANTED, which has now amassed £19.3 million since its debut. At three is the highest new entry, Ben Affleck’s true story of ARGO, which banked a respectable £1.28 million. At four is this week’s other new entry, HERE COMES THE BOOM, the Kevin James starring, Adam Sandler produced comedy from Sony Pictures. It has made a measly £443,052 over the weekend, which is only a touch more than TAKEN 2’s £402k.

The last new entry on the list was THE SAPPHIRES, a well received film critically, which hit at number 7 with £377, 641 from just 233 sites.
