It’s always good to see filmmakers and actors out and about doing promotional tours as they tend to spill beans on upcoming projects, a bit like Joe Johnston, director of CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER. In surprising news, Johnston has expressed an interest in directing a STAR WARS spin-off featuring Boba Fett!
As some of you may know Johnston started out working with Lucas on the STAR WARS movies, and created the design for characters like Yoda and the Ewoks in the film, along with the the X-Wing Fighters and the legendary Millennium Falcon.
How cool does this sound?
“I’m trying to get George to make a feature based on Boba Fett,” said Johnston. “I would like to [direct it]. It would be a lot of fun.”
In associated Johnston news, the helmer also commented on that JURASSIC PARK 4 movie that still seems to be in the offing.
“We are in discussions about ‘Jurassic Park 4.’ The most important thing I can tell you is that it starts a new trilogy that will go off in a different direction — a completely different direction that is very exciting, and different from anything we’ve seen. It starts with the history of the first trilogy, but it spins it off in a completely different direction. That’s all I can tell you.”
