We’ve seen what happens if you mess with Liam Neeson or his family. You end up dead! So threatening him on a plane when he is an air marshal is just suicide. I guess Hollywood villains have never really been that smart. That’s the plot of NON-STOP, as Neeson plays an air marshal that receives text messages telling him that a passenger will die every 20 minutes unless $150 million is placed into an account. Sounds like an interesting murder mystery set in the skies, but I think it will be over rather quickly, after Liam Neeson just starts killing everyone. Here’s the full synopsis:
Coming off his smash hit TAKEN 2, Liam Neeson partners once again with UNKNOWN director Jaume Collet-Serra and producer Joel Silver. This time Collet-Serra goes a step further, plunging the audience into a movie that is at once a labyrinthine mystery, a high-octane action picture and a twist-filled Hitchcockian thriller where no one can be trusted and everyone is a suspect.
Bill Marks (Liam Neeson) is a burned-out veteran of the Air Marshals service. He views the assignment not as a life-saving duty, but as a desk job in the sky. However, today’s flight will be no routine trip.
Shortly into the transatlantic journey from New York to London, he receives a series of mysterious text messages ordering him to have the government transfer $150 million into a secret account, or a passenger will die very 20 minutes. What follows is a nail-biting cat and mouse game played at 40,000 feet, with the lives of 200 passengers hanging in the balance.
NON-STOP isn’t just an action film, but a 500mph rush of adrenaline, suspense and excitement.
Julianne Moore, Scoot Mcnairy, and Michelle Dockery are set to co-star.
