Yes, you read that headline correctly. There is yet another poster for the upcoming Brad Pitt crime drama KILLING THEM SOFTLY.
The public has been inundated in recent weeks with batches upon batches of teaser posters in the lead-up to its theatrical run. But whether the ploy to bombard film enthusiasts with constant reminders of its impending release will actually pay off in ticket sales still remains to be seen – but all of the artwork has been visually appealing and popular on social media.
What with the U.S. election over and done with as of yesterday, this recent teaser – with its simple red, white and blue motif – is, if nothing else, election-appropriate. The simple image, sans film title, is yet another eye-catching promotion piece for the highly anticipated film.
Based on the George V. Higgins novel COGAN’S TRADE, director Andrew Dominik’s KILLING THEM SOFTLY follows enforcer Jackie Cogan (Brad Pitt) as he investigates a heist that took place at the hands of two hapless junkies. The cast also features Casey Affleck, James Gandolfini and Ray Liotta.
The film hits North American cinemas on 30th November 2012 (having already had its UK release back in September).
