Thankfully nothing to do with that frankly freaky simialrly-titled animated owl effort, LEGEND OF THE GUARDIANS from Zack Snyder, Dreamworks Animation’s RISE OF THE GUARDIANS pits childhood heroes Jack Frost (Chris Pine), North (Alec Baldwin), E. Aster Bunnymund (Hugh Jackman) and Tooth (Isla Fisher) against the evil spirit Pitch (Jude Law), who’s threatening the innocence of children around the world.
While we’ve been inundated with a bunch of previous character posters, we have another six to add to those for the festive-themed family film, directed by Peter Ramsey, that’s slated for cinemas 21st November in the US and on the 30th here in the UK.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.

This looks right up my street.
Great cast, too.
Little dismayed by the pun, but hey ho, it’s [gonna be] Christmas.
