Max Landis, son of director John Landis, has been edging his way into the spotlight for the past few years. He co-wrote the CHRONICLE script with Josh Trank as well as directing and narrating his hilarious sketch on comics and superheroes, ‘The Death And Return Of Superman’, a viral YouTube hit. Now he has announced his directorial debut which is said to be an indie comedy set in LA. Apparently centering around three characters (one of whom is having a sexual identity crisis) and exploring the ideas of sex, love and friendship, Landis himself says it will be reminiscent of ‘REALITY BITES on acid’.
Given the coming-of-age subject matter and the title, ME HIM HER sounds like a project to watch out for. And whilst Landis remains tight lipped about most detaills, although he has let slip that it will feature a cameo from the Devil himself. Apart from that, all other details are being kept tightly under wraps by Landis and studio Big Beach FIlms.
There’s no word yet on the cast or potential release dates but we’ll keep you posted when we know more about ME HIM HER. In the meantime we can look forward to a something cool, fresh, and intelligent.
