Jeff Goldblum To Check In At ‘The Grand Budapest Hotel’

Wes Anderson’s films are very divisive – either you love his quirky style of cinema or you absolutely loathe it. I personally love his films and, judging by this bit of casting news, there’s another big reason to love his next film THE GRAND BUDAPEST HOTEL. We briefly mentioned a while back that Jeff Goldblum had been approached for a part in the film (back when Johnny Depp seemed like a lock for the film, which turned out to be false), but now it appears that he’s is a certainty. Former Anderson collaborator Goldblum (THE LIFE AQUATIC WITH STEVE ZISSOU) is joining a cast already comprising of Saoirse Ronan, Jude Law, Ralph Fiennes, and Wes Anderson talisman, Bill Murray. I love Jeff Goldblum, he was one of the quintessential faces of the 90s and I think he needs to be cast in more films, so it’s good to see him get a role in a high profile film like this. Hopefully we can get another few great actors from the rumoured list (Edward Norton, Adrien Brody, Willem Dafoe, Owen Wilson) and I will be a happy camper.

THE GRAND BUDAPEST HOTEL is directed by Wes Anderson. It stars Jude Law, Ralph Fiennes, Bill Murray, Jeff Goldblum and Saoirse Ronan. It is scheduled to arrive in UK cinemas in late 2014.

Esben Evans is the Danish contingent on this site. He enjoys films, swearing a lot, and a nice pair of slacks.
