We’d previously reported this year, with distinct intrigue, that Dave Grohl was putting together documentary SOUND CITY that was based on the famous Van Nuys studio in Los Angeles where the likes of Nirvana, Trent Reznor, Neil Young, Tom Petty and many more have recorded over the years.
Sound City Studios were founded in 1969 and music history runs right through its walls and recording studios. Grohl also had this to say about the process and his feelings:
“[It will] document a personal journey beginning 20 years ago that culminates in a full circle musical reunion,” Grohl continued “SOUND CITY is film about the truth, the craft and the integrity of rock and roll.”
Scroll down for the teaser trailer and your first look at the poster for the documentary, and it’s perfectly apt straight from the Foo Fighters Twitter.
SOUND CITY doesn’t have a confirmed release date at this stage.
