Set to dominate the US box-office this the weekend, Rich Moore’s WRECK-IT RALPH appears to be impressing critics as much as the parents and kids paying to see it. The story of a video-game villain who just wants to be liked has been much anticipated, with an ace voice cast including the ever-awesome John C. Reilly and Sarah Silverman. The animated film from Disney, has also just been submitted as a Best Animated Film Oscar contender for next year’s Academy Awards and must be said, has to be a strong favourite.

We here in the UK have to wait until 15th February 2013 before it hits cinemas but in the meantime, check out these three impressive new clips and two new poster designs for the film also featuring the voices of Jack McBrayer, Jane Lynch, Alan Tudyk, Ed O’Neill, Adam Carolla and Mindy Kaling.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
