Hoping to wipe any memory of the desperately dire X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE, Hugh Jackman’s Logan will unleash his razor-sharp claws on the world once again in director James Mangold’s simply-titled THE WOLVERINE. The film will see Marvel’s nails-hard mutant super(anti)hero travel to Japan to train with a skilled samurai in a plot based on the acclaimed comic-book arc by Chris Claremont and Frank Miller.
We’ve another set of behind-the-scenes images from the festive-looking film scripted by Mark Bomback (TOTAL RECALL) and Christopher McQuarrie (THE USUAL SUSPECTS).
THE WOLVERINE will hit cinemas 25th July 2013 and co-star Brian Tee, Will Yun Lee, Hiroyuki Sanada, Svetlana Khodchenkova, with a rumoured appearance from Famke Janssen’s Jean Grey.
Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
