One film that has many of us here at THN eager to see more of, is OLDBOY helmer Park Chan Wook’s STOKER. The story follows India (Mia Wasikowska) after her fathers death in a car wreck, her Uncle Charlie (Matthew Goode), who she never knew existed, comes to stay with her and her emotionally disturbed mother (Nicole Kidman). Soon after his arrival, India comes to suspect this mysterious, charming man has ulterior motives, but instead of feeling outrage or horror, this quiet young girl becomes intrigued and infatuated with him.

STOKER is released in the UK and US on the 1st March 2013.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
