‘Skyfall’ Scribe Signs On For Two More Bond Adventures

Following the latest awesome 007 outing SKYFALL and the recent news that Daniel Craig will reprise the role on at least two more occasions, we can also confirm that John Logan will pen the fifth and sixth efforts. Logan has been nominated for an Oscar for his work on Ridley Scott’s GLADIATOR, Scorcese’s THE AVIATOR and HUGO. He has also been well received for his screenplays for acclaimed features THE LAST SAMURAI, CORIOLANUS and the currently shooting biblical epic NOAH being directed by Darren Aronofsky.

It appears he’ll adapt as-yet-untitled Bond’s 24 and 25 alone, after collaborating with Neal Purvis and Robert Wade on the current blockbuster SKYFALL. However, it is still early days and others may be brought in later down the line but he’ll certainly map out the next direction of 007, which is expected in cinemas 2014.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
