Bill Murray Joins Clooney’s ‘Monuments Men’

Bill Murray – arguably the movie biz’s best loved personality – is reportedly joining George Clooney’s lastest project, heist caper MONUMENTS MEN. Clooney will co-write, direct and star in the movie, which is adapted from the Robert M. Edsel novel, and sees a a US army officer and art lover untie with a gang of museum curators and art historians to recover works of art stolen by the Nazis – before ol’ Hitler himself has chance to destroy them. Which all sounds like bags of fun, especially with the former Peter Venkman on board.

There’s no word on what role Murray will play yet, but Cate Blanchett is also on board, with Jean Dujardin and Paul Giamatti also linked to the project.
