One of the highlights of Peter Jackson’s THE LORD OF THE RINGS trilogy was the attention to detail, which included such easter eggs for the fans as three stone trolls, that fans could recognise from THE HOBBIT. Well, we’ll finally be able to see the creation of these stone trolls in the fast approaching THE HOBBIT: AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY. They also get a bit of dialogue in the latest TV spot, and they’re far from the little cute critters with bright spiky hair that I remember.
THE HOBBIT: AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY is released 14th December 2012. It stars Martin Freeman, Ian McKellen, Benedict Cumberbatch, Andy Serkis, Luke Evans, Evangeline Lilly, Elijah Wood, Hugo Weaving, Cate Blanchett, Richard Armitage, Orlando Bloom, Christopher Lee, Aiden Turner, Ian Holm, Billy Connolly, and Lee Pace.
