I must admit, it has been a little while since I last saw the very first James Bond movie DR. NO, but it still rates as being one of my faves in the franchise, despite the fact that it was released over five decades ago. The news on this day, which by the way is the day that SKYFALL hits DVD and Blu-Ray, is that the 1962 007 adventure could be re-released in cinemas in the big-screen IMAX format… in 3D.
This news comes from Brendan Connelly over at Bleeding Cool who spotted on the Moviefone box-office site that there was a listing for the reissue of the film, due in US theaters later in the year. He also reports that a Taiwanese 3D Blu-ray for the same title also exists on a post on Blu-Ray.com.
No confirmation from any official sources BTW.
Brendan has posted more over at BC, so click on through to take a look (there’s also a grab of the BD cover).
What do you guys think? DR NO in 3D? Surely not…
