In a move that’s as surprising as violence and bad language in a Tarantino movie, Blumhouse Productions and Paramount have give the all clear to PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 5. It may have made 43% less in its opening weekend than PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 3, but with a budget of $5 million who’s complaining. That means it has already taken in six times what it cost to make, and that’s just domestically. I wouldn’t be surprised if the franchise one day ended up as a direct to video event, but for now we’ll have to sit through at least one more cinematic release.
PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 4 is currently on general release.

Luke likes many things, films and penguins being among them. He's loved films since the age of 9, when STARGATE and BATMAN FOREVER changed the landscape of modern cinema as we know it. His love of film extends to all aspects of his life, with trips abroad being planned around film locations and only buying products featured in Will Smith movies. His favourite films include SEVEN SAMURAI, PASSION OF JOAN OF ARC, IN BRUGES, LONE STAR, GODZILLA, and a thousand others.

I don’t feel like these movies even belong in the theater.
Maybe bad tv is causing people to like bad movies?
