Last night, I had the pleasure of being in London’s prestigious music venue the Royal Albert Hall for an evening of music to celebrate John Williams’ 80th birthday, which took place in February of this year. It was an unforgettable night of music, nostalgia and the movies. I’ll be posting a special article on the evening in the next couple of days, but here’s a related piece of news for a Saturday evening. John Williams has just completed his latest collaboration with director Steven Spielberg on the upcoming biopic LINCOLN, starring Daniel Day Lewis in the title role of Abraham Lincoln, which hits cinemas next year, and the Williams fansite, JWFan.com, have managed to get their hands on a 30 second sample of each track from the film’s accompanying soundtrack, which will be released on the 28th January, 2013 in the UK.
