Tom Cruise’s year has been dominated by headlines concerning mostly his private life, but he gets a chance to put that behind him (well, at least somewhat) with action flick JACK REACHER. The film is based on a series of novels by Lee Child and puts Cruise’s eponymous ex-military cop Jack Reacher up against a trained sniper who takes out seemingly random targets. Now it has gotten a new poster and judging by it, this film is going to be all Cruise, all the time. It’s hard to really say anything about it. It’s Tom Cruise with a gun, something we’ve seen countless of times before, but I’m still looking forward to it considering it stars Werner FREAKING Herzog as a Russian mobster…who’s probably bat-shit crazy. JACK REACHER is directed by Christopher McQuarrie and stars Tom Cruise, Werner Herzog, Rosamund Pike, David Oyelowo and Robert Duvall. It is scheduled for a UK release on 26th December 2012.
