On Your Bike Robocop! More Set Pics Hit The Web

We’ve been very spoilt over the past couple of weeks in terms of set pics from the big ROBOCOP remake coming from next year from Sony Pictures. Well, here’s some more for your viewing pleasure with Joel Kinnamen going all STREET HAWK on our asses and getting on a Robo-bike in the Jose Padilha directed already-being-branded-shit red-do! What IS going on with this movie?

Here’s the official plot.

The year is 2028 and multinational conglomerate OmniCorp is at the center of robot technology. Their drones are winning American wars around the globe and now they want to bring this technology to the home front. Alex Murphy (Kinnaman) is a loving husband, father and good cop doing his best to stem the tide of crime and corruption in Detroit. After he is critically injured in the line of duty, OmniCorp utilizes their remarkable science of robotics to save Alex’s life. He returns to the streets of his beloved city with amazing new abilities, but with issues a regular man has never had to face before.

Gary Oldman, Michael Keaton, Samuel L. Jackson, Jackie Earle Haley, and Jay Baruchel also star in the movie.

    Very nice.
Good to see this one getting his own ride. It’s no Batpod but it looks the business.
Quietly confident about this and looking forward to it.

I’ve now done enough research on the smart and socially aware Padilha to believe that he will create more than a mindless loud explosions movie or a rip-off of a classic. I look forward to what he will show us about near-future science and society (and then compare it to reality in 15 years).
