The hunt for Osama bin Laden will soon feature on the big-screen as THE HURT LOCKER’s Oscar-winning director Katherine Bigelow brings us the top-secret military mission to exterminate the world’s most wanted terrorist. ZERO DARK THIRTY will depict the decade-long events that saw a crack team of Navy SEALS eventually locate the whereabouts of the Al-quaeda leader and a number of his co-conspirators.
We have the brand new trailer as well as the first still of the previously unknown role of James Gandolfini, who takes the pivotal role of one of the highest-ranking government figures featured in the film – Leon Panetta, the current Secretary of Defense, who was chief of the CIA when bin Laden was found and killed.
ZERO DARK THIRTY will also co-star Jessica Chastain, Joel Edgerton, Nash Edgerton, Kyle Chandler, Mark Strong, Jason Clarke, Harold Perrineau, Edgar Ramirez and Jennifer Ehle.
Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
