His debut feature is yet to hit theatres, but RZA is already lining up film number two. RZA is looking to direct an adaptation of a strange but awesome sounding Grant Morrison comic called HAPPY!. HAPPY! sees an ex-cop turned hitman start to see a blue horse called Happy after a hit goes terribly wrong. Morrison himself will write the script, while RZA will produce along with Reginald Hudlin.
I’ve liked all of the footage and material that I’ve seen from THE MAN WITH THE IRON FISTS, and I do like a lot of Morrison’s work, especially THE FILTH. Bizarre premises are certainly my bag, so this is one film I’ll be looking out for.
RZA’s directorial debut THE MAN WITH THE IRON FISTS is released in the UK 16th November 2012. It stars Russell Crowe, Lucy Lui, RZA, Jamie Chung, Pam Grier, Rick Yune, Dave Bautista and Byron Mann.
