After yesterday’s great new poster and stills, THN is finally able to bring you the first trailer of Sacha Gervasi’s late-biopic HITCHCOCK. The trailer looks as if the film could be a whole lot of fun. Despite the serious subject matter, that at the time suggested those who had previously stuck with the legend, thought his adaptation was going to be a disaster, it depicts the iconic filmmakers attempts (or rather struggle) at going in a different direction with his masterful thriller PSYCHO, which proved we all go a little mad sometimes…
HITCHCOCK is headlined by Anthony Hopkins and Helen Mirren as dutiful wife Alma, who was integral the directors success, alongside and all-star supporting cast of Jessica Biel, Scarlet Johannson, James D’Arcy, Danny Huston, Toni Collette, Ralph Macchio and Kurtwood Smith. Do you buy Hopkins as HITCHCOCK? As always, we’d love to know.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
