You can’t have a superhero film without a love interest. It’s just the way things are and don’t you ever forget it. As us males are gawping at the flights of fancy placed before us, our dates are simply swooning at the shoehorned in 7 minutes of forced romantic tedium. CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER is no different, although this romance may have some weight behind it. After all, Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) has suddenly woken up in our time and everyone he has ever known or loved is dead or ancient. This could lead to a strained and complex romance, which could be of interest. The word on the street is that the likes of Emilia Clarke, Alison Brie, Jessica Brown Findlay, Imogen Poots, and Teresa Palmer are the front runners for the role.
Scarlett Johansson is also rumoured to return as The Black Widow, but there is no word yet on how big her role will be. Perhaps she’ll be in the background making coffee for Samuel L. Jackson. The film is set to shoot in Cleveland, Ohio.
CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER is released 4th April 2014. It stars Chris Evans, Samuel L. Jackson, Anthony Mackie, and Sebastian Stan.

Luke likes many things, films and penguins being among them. He's loved films since the age of 9, when STARGATE and BATMAN FOREVER changed the landscape of modern cinema as we know it. His love of film extends to all aspects of his life, with trips abroad being planned around film locations and only buying products featured in Will Smith movies. His favourite films include SEVEN SAMURAI, PASSION OF JOAN OF ARC, IN BRUGES, LONE STAR, GODZILLA, and a thousand others.

Just wanted to note that some of your “dates” will be excited about the plot/action/acting as well as the romance, and will be annoyed if the love interest limits the scope and proper treatment of the Winter Soldier story. (Hopefully not, considering he’s in the subtitle).
Some talented actresses on this list, excited to explore the MCU’s Black Widow some more after how well she was written in the Avengers.
