Dreamworks next potential animated franchise is THE CROODS, and we have the first trailer for it right here. THE CROODS features a prehistoric family that never leave their cave. Of course, there’s one little brat that just has to get out there and see the world, and before you know it, the family are leaving their home and having adventures. The trailer is bright and colourful, and loves chucking stuff directly at the camera to show off its 3D potential. There’s nothing that really stands out other than some interesting creative designs for the animals they come across. Nicolas Cage’s voice work sounds solid, but we may have to wait for trailer number two to get a real feel for the film.
THE CROODS will be released 22nd March 2013. It stars the voices of Nicolas Cage, Ryan Reynolds, Emma Stone, Catherine Keener, Clark Duke, and Cloris Leachman.
