Josh Duhamel takes the lead in the action thriller, FIRE WITH FIRE, in which a fireman witnesses a murder and after fingering the culprit (TeeHee!) he is sent into witness protection. But this wouldn’t be a movie if witness protection was any good, and so much like the title, Duhamel decides to fight FIRE WITH FIRE by going after those hunting him. I guess you could say the hunters become the pursued. It will be the feature length debut of director David Barrett, who has directed episodes of just about every TV show in the last few years including CASTLE, ONCE UPON A TIME, BLUE BLOODS, THE MENTALIST, V, SUPERNATURAL and more.
The film looks pretty decent I must say and I like the idea of a man doing the right thing being pushed to extremes. Although, would a fireman be that much of a threat? Perhaps they’ll reveal he was the top shooter back in high school or something. Vincent D’Onofrio looks gigantic and terrifying as the antagonist and Bruce Willis is around for some lectures into real action.
FIRE WITH FIRE is set for a DVD and Blu-ray release on 6th November in the US. It stars Josh Duhamel, Rosario Dawson, Bruce Willis, Vincent D’Onofrio, Vinnie Jones, and Curtis ’50 Cent’ Jackson.
