Gina Carano Attached To Female Expenables Movie

Gina Carano is the first name attached to the all female take on THE EXPENDABLES.

Carano is the real life badass who had a great deal off success in the world of MMA before taking on Hollywood. Her breakthrough role was that of Mallory Kane in Steven Soderbergh’s star studded HAYWIRE and she will soon be cracking heads with Dwayne Johnson in FAST & FURIOUS 6. When news of a female take on Sly’s all-star action goofery came about, Carano was near the top of everyone’s fantasy cast, including producer Adi Shankar (KILLING THEM SOFTLY, DREDD 3D), who had this to say.

‘I don’t know how I’m supposed to make a movie that is supposed to be the female version of ‘THE EXPENDABLES’ without Gina Carano in it. It would be like making Twix without caramel or Jamba Juice without jamba.’

I’ve had Jamba Juice without jamba and he’s right, it was complete arse.

So Carano is the first on board, but who else would make up her squad of Lady Killers? If it is to follow the formula of Arnie, Bruce etc. Then we need a pick of stars throughout the last few decades. Hows about…

Michelle Yeoh, Sigourney Weaver, Angelina Jolie, Pam Grier, Sarah Michelle Geller, Milla Jovovich
Kate Beckinsale, Michelle Rodriguez, Linda Hamilton, Uma Thurman, Patricia Routledge

But who would YOU cast? Comment below.

John is a gentleman, a scholar, he’s an acrobat. He is one half of the comedy duo Good Ol’ JR, and considers himself a comedy writer/performer. This view has been questioned by others. He graduated with First Class Honours in Media Arts/Film & TV, a fact he will remain smug about long after everyone has stopped caring. He enjoys movies, theatre, live comedy and writing with the JR member and hetero life partner Ryan. Some of their sketches can be seen on YouTube and YOU can take their total hits to way over 17!
