A few months back we reported that Steven Spielberg wanted Chris Hemsworth for the lead in his upcoming adaptation of ROBOPOCALYPSE. But you can’t have a leading man without a leading lady, so why not pair up The God Of Thunder with Catwoman herself, Anne Hathaway. Those two headlining will obviously raise eyebrows and bring in the money. The film also seems to have a producer, and in a surprise turn it will be Tom Rothman, the man who recently resigned as CEO of 20th Century Fox. This is a surprise since the man was against giant robots in any of his studios’ past films. I guess size does truly matter. The film is based on the bestselling novel by Daniel H. Wilson and is set to start production in early 2013, ready for a release date on 25th April 2014.
It seems as though big names are being grabbed for all roles in this science fiction tale. We’ve seen robots gain artificial intelligence and take over humanity before, so will this be any different? A.I. (2001) is a film I absolutely love, so as long as we have an awesome talking Teddy, I think we’ll be OK.

Luke likes many things, films and penguins being among them. He's loved films since the age of 9, when STARGATE and BATMAN FOREVER changed the landscape of modern cinema as we know it. His love of film extends to all aspects of his life, with trips abroad being planned around film locations and only buying products featured in Will Smith movies. His favourite films include SEVEN SAMURAI, PASSION OF JOAN OF ARC, IN BRUGES, LONE STAR, GODZILLA, and a thousand others.
