New TV Spot For Wachowski & Tykwer’s ‘Cloud Atlas’

One film dividing opinions in the towers of THN is CLOUD ATLAS. The big-screen adaptation of David Mitchell’s complex, best-selling novel sees THE MATRIX trilogy directors The Wachowski’s and RUN LOLA RUN’s Tom Tykwer team up to tell a epic tale spanning many lifetimes. The 8 minute trailer (!) released a few months ago had some stunning scenes but did feel a tad cheesy at times. The film had its premiere earlier this month at the Toronto International Film Festival to an audience that was split straight down the middle as to whether the film impressed, much like our prospective feelings here.

In the meantime, check out this brand new TV spot for the all-star epic due for release in the UK 22nd March 2013.

CLOUD ATLAS features a cast including Tom Hanks, Halle Berry, Keith David, Ben Whishaw, Jim Sturgess, Hugh Grant, Hugo Weaving, Jim Broadbent, James D’Arcy and Susan Sarandon.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
