Another stunning trailer has been released for the upcoming film LIFE OF PI. This film is driving me bonkers with anticipation after a fairly lackluster summer season. It looks as though autumn/winter are the new summer in terms of quality at least. This trailer gives us our first glimpses at Rafe Spall and Irrfan Khan as The Writer and Older Pi respectively. There scenes will be very important as one of the themes of LIFE OF PI is storytelling and fact vs. fiction. The trailer also seems to hint that we will see quite a bit of Pi’s life before he becomes stranded on the life boat, and this includes his life at the Zoo with plenty of animals on show. Unfortunately it employs a Coldplay track which has resulted me in me puncturing my ear drums with a sharp object. Luckily, this film seems as though it will rely heavily on visuals and so I will hopefully still enjoy it.
LIFE OF PI is released in the UK 21st December 2012. It stars Suraj Sharma, Rafe Spall, Irrfan Khan, and Gérard Depardieu.

Luke likes many things, films and penguins being among them. He's loved films since the age of 9, when STARGATE and BATMAN FOREVER changed the landscape of modern cinema as we know it. His love of film extends to all aspects of his life, with trips abroad being planned around film locations and only buying products featured in Will Smith movies. His favourite films include SEVEN SAMURAI, PASSION OF JOAN OF ARC, IN BRUGES, LONE STAR, GODZILLA, and a thousand others.
