Back in May, we were able to give you a look at the first trailer for Tom Hooper’s adaptation of the classic play LES MISERABLES. At the time it was just your standard 2 minute trailer, but it did prove that Anne Hathaway could really, truly sing. Today we are able to show you an extended first look at the film – and boy, does it look amazing!
Starring Hugh Jackman, Anne Hathaway, Russell Crowe, Amanda Seyfried, Sacha Baron Cohen, Samantha Barks, Helena Bonham Carter and Eddie Redmayne, the story follows a connected tale of deception, love and heartbreak, played out through acting and song. When I saw the original trailer, I was more than sure that the cast had already recorded their vocals and were just miming to the lyrics. However, this extended video shows me how wrong I was and how brilliant the cast are. I got goosebumps, so I’m hoping you will too!
LES MISERABLES, directed by Tom Hooper, is due for release from 25th December.

Considering Jazmine grew up watching CARRY ON SCREAMING, THE LION KING and JURASSIC PARK on repeat for weeks on end, it made sense for her to study film at London South Bank University. It’s also a good thing that her course requires a lot of sitting down because she’s very accident-prone. When she’s not examining her bruises, she likes pretending that she doesn’t live in Southend-On-Sea and spends hours mindlessly blogging. Favourite films include BLUE VALENTINE, ETERNAL SUNSHINE OF THE SPOTLESS MIND and TOY STORY 2.
