On 13th October, in anticipation of Halloween, Sony Pictures will debut first looks of their horror remakes CARRIE and THE EVIL DEAD at the New York Comic Con. The panel will start at 3:45pm and last for an hour. Stars from the two films including Julianne Moore, Chloe Grace Moretz, and Jane Levy will be a part of the discussion. In a boost to the reputation of the THE EVIL DEAD remake, star of the original, Bruce Campbell, will also be stopping by.
Both of these films have a hell of a lot to live up to, but judging by the talent involved they each have the potential to go in new and interesting ways. CARRIE is a remake of the Brian De Palma film and is based on a novel by Stephen King. It will be released in the UK 5th April 2013. THE EVIL DEAD is a remake of the Sam Raimi cult classic. It will hit theatres in the UK one week later on 12th April 2013.
