Updated: We Know How You Can Legally Watch ‘Prometheus’ Weeks Ahead Of Home Ent. Release

Yes, from that tell-all headline, we know how you can legally download, watch and love the feel good film of 2012 all over again. I’m probably one of the only people on the site not to have seen PROMETHEUS yet, and judging from all the bitching and sometime praising over here, the film delivers a mixed bag. OK, so how do we download it? Well, you need to be able to say yes to these three things.

  1. Do you have a computer or similar viewing device?
  2. Is that device connected to the Internet?
  3. Do you live in one of the 50 countries where the service is available?

Yes to all three? I struggled with the last one as I cannot find a definitive list of the 50 countries that it applies to, but certainly our friends in the US and A can definitely connect to Twentieth Century Fox’s new DIGITAL HD service from today and download the film via various websites/ video streaming services (Amazon, CinemaNow, Google Play, iTunes, PlayStation, VUDU, Xbox Live and YouTube) for just $15. There are a host of other movies available on the service, and many more huge pre-releases planned for the rest of the year, including ABRAHAM LINCOLN: VAMPIRE HUNTER, ICE AGE: CONTINENTAL DRIFT and THE WATCH.

We’ll update this page when we have the full details of the countries that the service will be available in. For now, here’s the exciting  full press release from Fox.

UPDATE: Fox have provided us with the following video which features more info on this fantastic new service.

Paul has been writing for film websites for over ten years. The Hollywood News was born out of love for film and his frustration at not being a very good filmmaker himself. Those who cannot do, write about – or so they say. Aside from the site, Paul has directed a music video (badly), has one credit to his name on the IMDb, enjoys running, driving (now that he has finally passed his test at the age of 33), and of course going to the movies.
