THE HOBBIT: AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY is just around the corner now. Here are 20 images from the prequel to THE LORD OF THE RINGS saga. They aren’t as exciting as one would hope, as we are mostly looking at dwarves over and over again. Still, you have to admire the costumes and make-up used to create this incredible world. I’m still baffled by the decision to squeeze three movies out of a much shorter book, so I can only hope each installment will be around two hours rather than three.
THE HOBBIT: AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY is released 14th December 2012. It stars Martin Freeman, Ian McKellen, Benedict Cumberbatch, Andy Serkis, Luke Evans, Evangeline Lilly, Elijah Wood, Hugo Weaving, Cate Blanchett, Richard Armitage, Orlando Bloom, Christopher Lee, Aiden Turner, Ian Holm, Billy Connolly, and Lee Pace.

Luke likes many things, films and penguins being among them. He's loved films since the age of 9, when STARGATE and BATMAN FOREVER changed the landscape of modern cinema as we know it. His love of film extends to all aspects of his life, with trips abroad being planned around film locations and only buying products featured in Will Smith movies. His favourite films include SEVEN SAMURAI, PASSION OF JOAN OF ARC, IN BRUGES, LONE STAR, GODZILLA, and a thousand others.
