The 1966 classic British crime-caper GAMBIT has recently been given a 21st century overhaul, with Michael Hoffman adapting a script from the Coen brothers. Colin Firth and Cameron Diaz take over the roles previously played by Michael Caine and Shirley MacClaine, with Alan Rickman also involved in a role made famous by the late, great Herbert Lom.
Below we have the first (unimaginative) character posters from the con-comedy, which is expected early next year. The cast also includes Stanley Tucci, Cloris Leachman and Tom Courtney.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
