Paddy Considine Joins ‘The World’s End’

The conclusion of Edgar Wright’s ‘Cornetto Trilogy’ will soon be upon us, as dynamic duo Simon Pegg and Nick Frost are set to face the comedic wrath of THE WORLDS END. After the awesome twosome of SHAUN OF THE DEAD and HOT FUZZ, it’s going to be hard to top those previous modern classics. Brit beauty Rosamund Pike (soon to be seen opposite Tom Cruise in JACK REACHER) has already been confirmed as joining the cast and now we can also announce another top actor, and fellow HOT FUZZ-er Paddy Considine, will also appear.

If you’re not yet up to speed on what to expect with Wright, Frost and Pegg’s latest project, the official synopsis for THE WORLD’S END is as follows:

20 years after attempting an epic pub crawl,  five childhood friends reunite when one of them becomes hellbent on trying the drinking marathon again. They are convinced to stage an encore by mate Gary King, a 40-year old man trapped at the cigarette end of his teens, who drags his reluctant pals to their hometown and once again attempts to reach the fabled pub – The World’s End. As they attempt to reconcile the past and present, they realize the real struggle is for the future, not just theirs but humankind’s. Reaching The World’s End is the least of their worries.

We can’t wait to see what the trio of talent can bring!

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
