Ben Foster Has To Put On That ‘Red Light Winter’

Ben Foster has signed on to star in RED LIGHT WINTER. The film is based on a play in which two men move from New York to Amsterdam and get involved in a love-triangle with a prostitute. That’s never a good thing. The play was written by Adam Rapp and the film will be produced by Jay Van Hoy, Lars Knudsen of Parts & Labor, along with Scott Rudin. Kirsten Dunst is set to play the role of Christina, the object of the two men’s affections, but since both Mark Ruffalo and Billy Crudup vacated the roles as the male leads, we’ll have to wait and see if Dunst is still involved. Production company Parts & Labor will also be producing Ben Foster’s directorial debut.

I love Kirsten Dunst in any role, and Ben Foster is a fantastic actor. Hopefully they can find an equally fitting third wheel to complete the trio. The New York Times described Rapp’s play as “a frank, graphic story of erotic fixation and the havoc it can wreak on sensitive souls.” Sounds fun.
