Writer and director Ariel Vroman’s upcoming crime biopic THE ICEMAN has many of us at THN extremely excited. Headlined by the great Mr. Intensity himself, Michael Shannon, the film will chart the rise and fall of mafia contract killer Richard Kuklinski, who is said to have been responsible for almost 250 mob hits before his incarceration in 1985. He was a devoted family man who kept his secret life hidden and separate from those he loved, which is why he was so prolific during his career.
Here we have the first trailer for the film expected early next year:
THE ICEMAN also stars Ray Liotta, Chris Evans, James Franco, Winona Ryder, Stephen Dorff and David Schwimmer.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
