Production Shots For ‘The Lone Ranger’

Hi Ho Bruckheimer. Away! It’s at times like this I wish Joel Silver was producing this take on THE LONE RANGER. Well, never mind, because Jerry Bruckheimer, who is the film’s producer, has given us a production update via his blog, plus some awesome shots of production in full swing.

Almost done with filming of THE LONE RANGER. 125 days of shooting seemed to fly by.  We dealt with winds up to 70 mph, rain, snow,  and even wildfires but nothing has stopped us from filming this incredible movie.

The cast has been absolutely amazing and we could not have asked for a better crew. Everyone has been extremely dedicated in making this film a major success. We have a few more filming days back in California and  then post-production goes into high gear. Before we know it, it will be July 3rd, 2013 and we can’t wait to share this incredible film with everyone.

Until then, here are a few photos of our time in New Mexico, Utah, Colorado, and Arizona.

So Bruckheimer certainly thinks the film is ‘incredible’, which is a term I generally save for classics. So it sounds as though we have a real SCHINDLER’S LIST on our hands. The production shots do look breathtaking, with some of the landscapes looking like matte paintings.

THE LONG RANGER is released 5th July in the UK. It stars Johnny Depp, Armie Hammer, Helena Bonham Carter, William Fichtner, BarryPepper, and Tom Wilkinson.

Luke likes many things, films and penguins being among them. He's loved films since the age of 9, when STARGATE and BATMAN FOREVER changed the landscape of modern cinema as we know it. His love of film extends to all aspects of his life, with trips abroad being planned around film locations and only buying products featured in Will Smith movies. His favourite films include SEVEN SAMURAI, PASSION OF JOAN OF ARC, IN BRUGES, LONE STAR, GODZILLA, and a thousand others.
