Imagine my surprise when last Oscar night I saw the goofy looking guy from a number of Broken Lizard films, Nat Faxon, and the dean from COMMUNITY, Jim Rash, go up on stage to receive an Award for Best Adapted Screenplay. Both these guys had been just recognisable faces in small comedic roles, but now they are hot stuff in Hollywood. They are now directing their next project THE WAY, WAY BACK starring Steve Carell and Sam Rockwell. The film sees teenager Liam James get a job at a waterpark and befriending the manager (Rockwell) as he doesn’t get along with his new stepfather.
THE WAY, WAY BACK will be released in 2013. It stars Steve Carell, Sam Rockwell, Liam James, Toni Collette, Amanda Peet, and Maya Rudolph.
