From the director of SAW II, SAW III, and SAW IV comes THE BARRENS. A family go off into the woods, that’s their first mistake, and soon hear stories about The Devil. The father, played by Stephen Moyer, gradually descends into madness and becomes a danger to his family. But is he really bonkers or is the devil out to get them? With the ability to freeze frame trailers on line you may be able to capture single frames that might give you some clue. But that’s kind of ruining it don’t you think? The film looks scary and emotional which is always good, but after THE CABIN IN THE WOODS it may take me a while to watch a generic horror again.
THE BARRENS doesn’t have a release date yet. It stars Stephen Moyer, Mia Kirshner, Erik Knudsen, Peter DaCunha, and Allie MacDonald.
