She may not have featured as heavily as our comic-book hero and part-time Avenger THOR, or even the rather lovely Natalie Portman, but Kat Dennings as Darcy Lewis is set to be back and will play a bigger part in Alan Taylor’s upcoming sequel. THOR: THE DARK WORLD will see Chris Hemsworth back as the hammer-swinging demigod, who’ll juggle battling new villains along with keeping his mischievous brother Loki in check.
Dennings co-stars in the CBS sitcom TWO BROKE GIRLS and is also set to feature in all-star drama LIVES OF SAINTS. GAME OF THRONES very-own Alan Taylor takes over directing duties from Kenneth Branagh, which was originally set to be helmed by Patty Jenkins before she was replaced. THOR: THE DARK WORLD opens on 8th November 2013 and will see Portman and Hemsworth back alongside Tom Hiddleston, Jaimie Alexander, Anthony Hopkins, Stellan Skarsgard, Ray Stevenson and Idris Elba. New to the Marvel franchise are CHUCK’s Zachary Levi and Brit thesp Christopher Ecclestone, the latter playing new villain Malekith.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
