Yes, you’ve read that right. Our favourite rubber-faced friend may very well be appearing in KICK-ASS 2: BALLS TO THE WALL, the upcoming sequel to the Matthew Vaughn original.
Although nothing is set in stone, Carrey is apparently a huge fan of Vaughn (and even dressed as Aaron Johnson’s character, Kick-Ass, while performing a duet with Conan O’Brien). If he were to accept a role in Part 2, reports suggest that he would star as The Colonel, a accomplice of our favourite crime-fighting team, who aims to help them kick some ass!
Although some may find him highly annoying, I actually quite enjoy a slice of Jim Carrey comedy once in a while. I think, if the sequel follows in the same tone as its predecessor, Jim will fit in perfectly (and hopefully he’ll use his stretchy face to his advantage).
KICK-ASS 2: BALLS TO THE WALL, directed by Jeff Wadlow, is due for release from 19th July 2013.
