The trailer below is for Ryan O’Nan’s (THE ICEMAN) directorial debut, THE BROOKLYN BROTHERS BEAT THE BEST. The indie project is a seemingly sweet and refreshing take on the often-utilised theme of ‘following your dream’, and it stars O’Nan, as well as Michael Weston (GARDEN STATE), Arielle Kebbel (THE UNINVITED), Wilmer Valderrama (THAT 70s SHOW), Andrew McCarthy (THE SPIDERWICK CHRONICLES) and Melissa Leo (RED STATE).

O’Nan also wrote the screenplay for the film, which follows Alex (O’Nan) as he decides to hit the road after the demise of his relationship with his girlfriend. Together with his idiosyncratic revolutionary bandmate, Jim (Weston), the duo embark upon an arduous journey to promote their uniquely unpopular brand of music. When attempting to bring the forgotten sound of children’s instruments to the fore within their show, their durability is tested by numerous failed gigs and the ever-present concrete wall of human apathy. Will their last throw of the dice unearth yet more rejection, or will their admirable determination prevail in the face of adversity?

THE BROOKLYN BROTHERS BEAT THE BEST has already been released in the UK, and is due to open in the US September 21st.
