It would certainly appear that The Mandarin is IRON MAN’s greatest for. He has the ability to injure ankles. Oh the horror! That’s right, Robert Downey Jr. has injured his ankle on the set of IRON MAN 3 and so the production is undergoing a short delay. Marvel released this statement:
Robert Downey Jr. sustained an ankle injury on the set of IRON MAN 3 in Wilmington, North Carolina while performing a stunt. There will be a short delay in the production schedule while he recuperates.
It doesn’t sound too serious, but you can never be too sure about these kind of things. I think we should start theorising over replacements for Downey Jr. and also cancel THE AVENGERS 2.
IRON MAN 3, directed by Shane Black, is currently in production. It is due for release from 26th April 2013. It stars Robert Downey Jr., Don Cheadle, Gwyneth Paltrow, Ben Kingsley, Paul Bettany, Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall, Jon Favreau, and James Badge Dale.
